New Classes: Yoga and Open Gym

We are excited to announce some new class offerings at CrossFit 414! Beginning on Sunday, April 12th we will begin offering both Yoga and an Open Gym option to all of our members. We will start with a one month trial and if both of these classes are popular then we will keep them around. Both class offerings will be included in your current membership. Yoga and Open Gym will count towards your weekly class allotment, however. So if you are currently on the three times per week membership then each of these offerings will count as a class for you.

Please read below to understand how both classes will be structured:


Morgan will be leading you through an hour long session from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm every Sunday. The focus during the hour is going to be on recovery as well as mobility. We are encouraging everyone to bring their own yoga mats, but we are purchasing ten yoga mats that can be rented for $1 during class. We will also provide straps and blocks, but if you have your own, feel free to bring them to the gym for your own use.

Open Gym:

Coach Matt will be running our Open Gym every Sunday from 12:30pm to 2pm. To be respectful of the yoga class before as well as Coach Matt’s time, we would like you to arrive no earlier than 12:30 and be wrapped up with your workout with all of your equipment put away by 2pm.

This is a 90 minute block of time for you to do what you need to do: make up a workout, stretch, practice a skill/movement, get in some lifting. Coach Matt will be there to bounce ideas off of, give an eye to your form and make sure that you do not kill yourself. But otherwise, it’s your space.

Since Open Gym is not an instructor lead class, we think it is best to have been a member for 2 or 3 months before attending. If you want to come in to stretch or hop on the erg, that’s perfectly fine. But we’d like you to be familiar with movements and able to workout safely without too much assistance before we let you run wild. Along with this prerequisite, Open Gym will be for members only. No drop-ins or friends of members will be able to come to the Open Gym.
