12162017- 5th Annual Charity Challenge

Today is the best day of the year! The 5th Annual Charity Challenge and Holiday Party. Here are the last minute details:

Time: Workouts start at 930am sharp. Please be on time today so we can stick to the schedule. There will be three workouts that we aim to finish in 2 hours and then it is right into the Holiday party. 

Donations: There is a suggested donation of $30. Anything you can give helps! Checks made out to “Neighborhood House of Milwaukee” or cash is the best way. 

What to bring: Be ready for a workout. If you would like to bring any brunch treats, holiday cookies or brunch drinks that would be welcome. 

The Workouts: Please remember these workouts are meant to be doable by everyone. We can scale/modify anything as needed to stay safe and have fun. 

Workout 1: 

“O Clean, All Ye Faithful”

Complete as many reps as possible in 3 minutes of:

10 Squat Clean and Jerk at 95/55 lbs

10 Squat Clean and Jerk at 115/75 lbs

As many Squat Clean and Jerk as possible at 135/85 lbs

*Bar starts on the ground for each rep, passes through a squat and finishes overhead. Power Clean into Front Squat is allowed. Press, Push Press, Push Jerk or Split Jerk can be used to get the bar overhead. A cluster (clean into thruster) is also permissible.*

Workout 2: 

“Little Rower Boy”

For time:

500 meter Row

30 Burpee Box Jump or Step Overs (24 inch/20 inch)

500 meter Row

*7 minute cap. If you do not finish your score is meters rowed in the second 500*

*Burpees must always be facing the box*
